NYC's Energy Benchmarking Deadline of May 1, 2015 is approaching. New York Local Law 84 requires owners of buildings over 50,000ft² to annually measure their energy consumption in a process called benchmarking. Noncompliance will result in quarterly fines of $500 which can total up to $2,000 annually.
This year CPC has partnered with Bright Power to provide our customers with a subscription to Bright Power's online EnergyScoreCards 'software as a service' platform, and hands-on support from a Bright Power Energy Analyst. EnergyScoreCards allows you to compare your energy and water use to similar buildings in the city, find energy and water problems, automatically retrieve utility data throughout the year, and track savings from upgrades.
CPC also has the expertise available to comprehensively analyze your property to help you create and finance a plan for retrofit. Our services include:
• Benchmarking your building
• Uploading your data
• Helping you secure compliance with Local Law 84
• Going over the full range of options available to you to make your building healthier, greener and more energy efficient
• Presenting you with affordable financing options for any retrofit
Also available outside New York City.
Payment submitted to CPC for Energy Benchmarking prior to April 1, 2015, will be completed before the May 1, 2015 deadline.
